Frequently asked questions
How SellerAlerts turns your marketplace notifications into a clean, prioritized task list, and how to get the most out of it.
Getting started
How does SellerAlerts get my marketplace notifications?
When you connect a marketplace, we generate a unique inbox address (e.g. a8f3k2x9@your-domain). You forward your marketplace's notification emails to that address. We receive them, classify them with AI, and turn them into actionable tasks.
How do I connect my marketplace?
Go to Marketplaces, add a connection, and copy the generated inbox email. Then set up forwarding from your marketplace so its notifications arrive at that address. A step-by-step video walkthrough is coming soon. The address is random and private, so keep it to yourself.
How the AI works
How does SellerAlerts decide what’s a task and what type it is?
Every inbound email is classified by AI into one of around 20 types (order, return, claim, buyer message, account health, and more), each with a priority and a suggested action. It uses your company description, product catalog, and seller preferences as context.
The AI mislabeled something. Can I fix it, and does it learn?
Yes. Change the type or priority on any task and the correction is saved. Recent corrections are fed back to the AI as examples, so it adapts to how you categorize things over time.
How do I make the AI match my brand and policies?
In Settings → AI you set a company description and custom instructions. You can go further with per-product templates, response templates per notification type, and predefined seller scenarios.
Managing your work
How do tasks and threading work?
Each notification becomes a task that moves from open, to in progress, to done, and finally archived. Related messages like buyer conversations, claims, and returns are grouped into one thread so you see the full back-and-forth in one place.
Can I auto-assign tasks to my team?
Yes. In Settings → Rulesyou build assignment rules with conditions like type, priority, marketplace, keywords, or product. The first matching rule assigns the task automatically when it's created.
How do I get alerted without getting spammed?
Alerts go out via email, Slack, and ClickUp. In Settings → Notifications you control quiet hours, a minimum priority threshold, and digest mode, so you only get pinged for what matters. Urgent tasks escalate automatically based on response-time targets.
Account & billing
What integrations are available?
Slack (channel alerts and threaded replies) and ClickUp (creates tasks and syncs status both ways), connected with one click in Settings → Integrations.
What’s the difference between Free and Pro?
Pro raises limits on things like team size and monthly task volume. You can upgrade, manage payment, and view invoices anytime from the Billing page.
